Delete your account
You can delete your NY Styles Barbershop account and the information tied to it at any time, from the app or without it.
In the app or on the website
- Open the NY Styles app (or nystylesbarbershop.com) and sign in.
- Tap Account, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
- Type your password to confirm. Your account is closed right away and you are signed out; the rest of your information below is removed by our system in the background, normally within minutes (it keeps retrying until everything is gone).
Without the app
Email nystylesbarbershop@gmail.com from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my account", or call (631) 654-0605. We delete it within 7 days and reply to confirm.
What gets deleted
- Your login, name, email, mobile number, text and email preferences, saved cut notes, favorite barber, rewards and referral code, your messages with the shop and any photos you sent, your app notifications and any waitlist spots.
- Your upcoming appointments are cancelled.
- Reviews you posted are removed from the shop page.
What we keep
Records of completed or paid visits (date, service, price and payment) are kept for up to 7 years because tax law requires the shop to keep its sales records, and a finished haircut is a sale even when it was paid in cash at the chair. They carry no name, phone number, email, notes or photos, are no longer linked to an account you can sign in to, and are never sold or shared for marketing. Visits that were cancelled or missed are deleted entirely, along with any call records from your number.
